Lead the coordination process with other disciplines.
Assist the Resident Engineer in performing the contractual duties on site.
Process contract documents & assist with contract administration.
Develop, modify, and review production drawings and construction documents.
Correct and update design documents.
Serve as an architectural resource for the Design department.
Provide resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinate application of solutions to ensure progress on site.
Advise the project manager of any technical aspects of the architectural works that may affect construction progress, quality, etc.
Monitor the interior architectural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
Review and process all shop drawings and architectural technical submittals.
Answer RFIs related to interior and architecture.
Review construction submittals from project inception to close-out.
Review Contractor's shop drawings against the design (tender) drawings for compliance with the design intent and return to project manager with appropriate comments/approval.
Review Contractor's material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise the Project Manager on appropriateness of the proposals.
Review Contractor's proposed subcontractors associated with the engineering works from a technical standpoint.
Monitor procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
Undertake general project site observation/inspection of the works for Contractor's adherence to the approved shop drawings and Consultant's specifications, good working practices, the construction schedule, and health & safety.
Lead the snagging and de-snagging process to progress the works to completion.
Attend project, site progress, and related technical meetings as directed by the project manager.
Prepare draft site/engineer's instructions related to the project, as required, and issue to the Project Manager.
