Job description

Role Title: Shift Leader (Housekeeping)

Role Type: Outsourced, Full Time, On-Site, Long Term

Industry: Events & Exhibitions

Contract Duration: One Year

Working Days: 06 days per week & 1 day off

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible to maintain a high level of cleanliness and ensure smooth operation of allocated area & lead the team.
  2. Provide direction and feedback to staff during shifts.
  3. Schedule employee shifts and assign duties in the absence of Supervisor.
  4. Provide job training to housekeepers (Regular and ad-hoc) and coach new admissions.
  5. Able to conduct proper briefing whenever necessary.
  6. Ensuring proper hygiene and grooming standards are being followed on daily basis before briefing.
  7. Taking care of equipment/machines/tools and communicate the need for repairs or replacements to supervisors.
  8. Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
  9. Address customer and employee complaints tactfully and with patience.
  10. Resolve conflicts between staff and report to duty supervisor.
  11. To be responsible in stocking and replenishing of guest supplies/cleaning supplies in the assigned areas.
  12. Assist Line Manager in the absence of supervisor with all housekeeping related activities.
  13. Provide assistance to the duty Supervisor to achieve the departmental objectives and guidelines.
  14. Ensure guest satisfaction with products and services and establish warm relationship.
  15. Ensure preventive maintenance cleaning schedules are carried out as per the signed contract.
  16. To conduct spot checks for occupied apartments ensuring the quality of cleanliness is well maintained.
  17. Gives suggestions/comments/grievances to his/her supervisor.
  18. Update any incident, accident and co-ordinate with supervisors.
  19. Take over the responsibilities of Housekeeper/Supervisor in their absence as and when required.
  20. Prepare Trouble reports and Maintenance works as per operational requirements as part of service improvements.
  21. Daily allocation of restrooms and deep cleaning tasks to team members.
  22. Routine inspection of rest rooms to ensure they meet standards.
  23. Prepare the list for shortage of chemical & tools for daily operation and submit to duty supervisor to raise IR/PR.
  24. To Support H/K Admin as and when required.
