Settlement Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Settlement Officer to join our dynamic team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of financial transactions, particularly in the forex market. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and proactive management of settlement tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end money settlement process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Monitor and reconcile trades, promptly identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Process payment instructions using SWIFT, CLS, or other relevant settlement platforms.
• Collaborate with internal departments (such as Dealing, Accounts, and Compliance) and external institutions (such as custodians and liquidity providers) to ensure smooth settlement operations.
• Provide professional support for client settlement issues, ensuring accurate and prompt resolution.
• Utilize the company’s CRM system to effectively track, manage, and resolve client inquiries.
• Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly settlement reports.
• Support process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks.
• Ensure all settlement operations comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Handle additional customer service tasks, including assisting with account setup, trade issue resolution, and settlement-related inquiries.
• Engage in regular remote communication and reporting with the company’s global team to ensure smooth coordination.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in settlement within the financial services industry; FX settlement experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in both Chinese and English (verbal and written).
• Strong knowledge of FX markets, settlement processes, and financial industry regulations.
• Proficiency in SWIFT, CLS, or other settlement platforms.
• Familiarity with MT4/MT5 platforms and cryptocurrencies is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-centric mindset with a proactive attitude toward resolving client issues.
• Familiarity with CRM systems to manage customer interactions and inquiries.
• Strong self-discipline and a sense of responsibility to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
