Job description
Service Technician:

Job Summary:

Based in Jubail, you will provide quality, professional, and profitable after-sales depot service support to the Emerson Final Control products in the Middle East & Africa.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  1. Receiving inspection of incoming valves and maintaining the valve register.
  2. Disassembly, cleanup, and evaluation of parts.
  3. Assembly of new or repaired equipment.
  4. Calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of valves as well as measurement and valve-related instruments.
  5. Knowledge of international standards API 598, API 6D, ANSI 70.2, etc.
  6. Documentation of repair/testing/assembly activities - cause of failure, actions taken, parts used, labor hours, etc.
  7. Handling basic measuring tools such as Vernier caliper, height gauge, etc.
  8. Various inventory control responsibilities - stocking shelves, pulling parts, cycle counting, and proper documentation of inventory transactions.
  9. Analyzing, evaluating, diagnosing, and resolving equipment and process-related problems.
  10. Nameplate stamping and tagging.
  11. Boxing/shipping of old and new parts, crating, and packaging when required.
  12. Final inspection and completion of inspection reports.
  13. Signing and documenting date compliance sheets.
  14. Participation in field service calls, as required, at customer sites. May require overnight stays from time to time.
  15. Adherence to all safety, quality, company rules, and regulations.
  16. Responsible for personal safety and those around them while maintaining excellent housekeeping standards.
  17. Participation and involvement in Safety, Quality, and Activities Committees.
  18. Other duties as assigned.

For this Role, You Will Need:
  1. Mechanical-related Associate's degree is a plus.
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of service technician experience in a reputed industry.
  3. Strong depot service background and proven experience with ISV products preferred. Other product experience will be an added advantage.
  4. Ability to read and understand technical documents, procedures, data sheets, MSDS, etc.
  5. Effective communication in English, both written and verbal.
  6. Basic skills in operating MS Word, MS Excel, and other computer software.


Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  1. Forklift license.
  2. Overhead crane license.
