Ensures the availability of daily work plans, to enable the execution of all planned and unplanned maintenance jobs, and that all plans are realistic, achievable and address all material and manpower requirements
Supports the Service Delivery Manager (SDM)/ Line Manager in the budgetary process which includes target setting, plan development and performance review of the dTS sections
Coordinates with section Supervisors, the Planning Team, Stores and P&L Buyers in order to ensure the availability of resources needed for equipment serviceability
Undertakes any and all corrective actions or escalations, as required, in order to address any shortfall in the availability of materials or manpower
Organises and performs maintenance checks on all equipment and facilities, machines and tools used in the workshop in order to optimize the life span and ensure operational reliability.
Trains and guides Technicians and Supervisors on maintenance techniques, fault diagnosis and repair, uses of different tools and machinery and safe working techniques to ensure the development of skills, safety and ergonomics at work.
Supports the Service Delivery Manager/ Line Manager to achieve all the activities related to the assigned workshop and ensure that all resources (Manpower, parts, tools) are available to ensure all services can be delivered on time and to high quality standards.
Monitors the performance of the Supervisors against set objectives, ensures that the staff roster and annual leave plans are reviewed, and revised as required, taking into consideration the dynamic manpower requirements across the year.
Reviews periodically the availability of material, tool and training requirements of each maintenance team, and ensures any outstanding requirement is escalated to the Service Delivery Manager/ Line Manager for immediate action
Ensures that safety briefings are conducted regularly while intervening when there is risk exposure, role model safe behaviours and follows up on corrective actions
To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline (electrical / electronic / mechanical)
Bachelor Degree holder: 4-6 years of experience in supervisory experience in an engineering and maintenance organization working with light vehicles, heavy vehicles or cargo material handling systems.
Diploma holder: 6-8 years of experience supervisory experience in an engineering and maintenance organization working with light vehicles, heavy vehicles or cargo material handling systems
Safety Awareness & First-aid and fire warden credentials preferred.
Must have theoretical and practical knowledge of equipment, operations, maintenance and engineering.
Proven ability to supervise a multi-disciplined team of Supervisors and Technicians (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, - Electronic, etc.)
