Job Description

Wood is looking for a Senior/Principal - Telecommunication Engineer - Contract - Hybrid basis.

Workscope

1. Knowledge of the Telecommunication Discipline with respect to Feasibility / concept studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detail engineering within Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects in a multi-disciplined project team environment.
2. Working in a multi-disciplined project environment to produce deliverables on schedule, of the correct quality and technical content.
3. Keep up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and best practices within the Telecommunication specialisation.

The Principal Engineer shall have the ability to design in detail the majority of the following systems:

1. Data Communications and Networking
2. IPTV/CCTV System Design
3. Public Address and General Alarm System
4. Digital Trunked Mobile Radio Systems
5. Structured Cable System Design
6. Voice Communication Design
7. Security Access Control
8. Security Intrusion Detection Systems
9. External (Outside) Plant Cable Network Design

All candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

1. Degree in Electronics or Telecommunication Engineering
2. Proven track record of working on FEED, EPC and PMC projects in the Oil & Gas sector
3. Knowledge of international codes and specs for safety critical systems would be beneficial.
