About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Waiter/ess to join the F&B Service Team in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

1. Greet guests with warm welcome and smile. Escort them to their tables. Answer inquiries about food and beverage items on the menu.
2. Assist guests by explaining how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods, where applicable.
3. Offer food and wine suggestions. Take food and beverage orders accurately including any special requests. Inform Kitchen as per the request.
4. Deliver and serve food, using a fork and spoon, from platters directly to the guests plates at the table. Use established food handling and serving techniques as per Jumeirah standard.
5. Responsible for cashiering service such as generating bills from the MICROS system/ presenting guests with fully supported bills or accounts that can be settled by pay approved method, including, and not limited to advance payment, credit/debit card payments, local and foreign currency.
6. Responsible for overseeing operations of section of the restaurant. Get feedback from the guests on the food and beverages and services offered.
7. Able to assist in other areas of restaurant such as answering telephones or dealing with guest enquiries on food and beverages, specially of the day and restaurant theme.
8. Work with bartenders to fill beverage orders. Work with kitchen staff to process and expedite food orders.
9. Prepare/Maintain the table setting by clearing courses as completed, cleaning and maintaining server stations, replacing utensils, refreshing water glasses, dealing with spills, moving dishes and glasses from tables or counters, take them to kitchen for cleaning.
10. Ensure the guests of the outlet experience an enjoyable and memorable by following the outlet sequence of service.
11. Ensure that correct operating standards are adhered to achieve the level of service established in the operations manual.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

1. One year of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting.
2. Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus.
3. Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms.
4. Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
