Senior Vice President - Supplier Management

Job Purpose:

• Oversee vendor registration, pre-qualification, performance management and improvement, and Supplier termination/disqualification.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and management of the service level agreement with vendors for the procurement of goods, services, and leases.

• Oversee the end-to-end supplier management relationship.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize supplier selection and procurement outcomes, aligning with Aldar Properties' long-term business objectives.
2. Drive supplier development programs to enhance capabilities and foster innovation among key suppliers, ensuring alignment with Aldar's strategic priorities and market demands.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation across the supplier base, leveraging insights from supplier performance data and market trends.
4. Champion sustainable sourcing practices and ethical supplier engagement strategies, promoting corporate social responsibility and operational excellence throughout Aldar's supply chain.
5. Enhance market engagement and ensure consistent supplier management activities across Aldar Properties and its subsidiaries through effective cross-functional communication.
6. Manage suppliers efficiently using a centralized and online procurement/ERP system (SAP Ariba/Oracle) to optimize processes and ensure transparency and accountability.
7. Lead the Supplier Management process, conducting periodic assessments to guarantee the selection of high-quality suppliers and uphold fairness in accordance with established policies and procedures.
8. Identify and onboard new suppliers to enrich Aldar’s supplier database, facilitating their seamless registration on the SAP Ariba Platform.
9. Cultivate enduring business relationships with key suppliers, driving ongoing process improvements and fostering long-term success for both parties.
10. Develop and advocate advanced supplier evaluation tools and technologies to achieve strategic procurement objectives effectively.
11. Ensure rigorous quality control during supplier registration, reviewing and verifying information completeness in alignment with applicable procedures and standards.
12. Manage the approval process for supplier registration and initiate pre-qualification procedures in accordance with PAS 91 standards, ensuring all supplier submissions meet specified criteria.
13. Integrate stakeholder feedback and end-user data to generate comprehensive supplier performance reports and implement targeted improvement plans.
14. Establish, maintain, and elevate supplier relationships to strategic partnership levels, fostering mutual benefit and driving collaborative success.
15. Implement Suspension and Termination processes in response to poor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with established procedures and minimizing operational disruption.

Related Years of Experience:

Min of 12+ years of experience.

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION Min of 4+ years of managerial experience heading a supplier management function.

Sector Experience:

Real estate, Construction sectors.

Technical and Interpersonal Skills:

Strong knowledge and experience working with local design Consultants and Contractors.

Understanding of Vendor Pre-qualification process and best practices with specific relevance in the housing sector.

Strong understanding of the “Design and build” journey for residential Projects.

Well-versed with local regulations on designer consultants and contractors, best practices in Vendor management, and quality assurance processes and procedures.

Must be able to read, write, and speak Arabic.

Leadership and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• MBA degree or PMP certification is preferred.
