Senior UX Researcher primary role is to provide support to the design team for customer research and testing activities of digital products and services.
S/he will be working with a diverse team of Product Owners, Engineers and Designers to create, deliver, and test digital banking products.
Key Accountabilities of the role:
Organise customer recruitment and interview/workshop scheduling activities.
Follow up with interview/workshop participants on attendance. Perform qualitative and quantitative research e.g. ethnographic field studies, focus groups, interviews, customer testing, competitive benchmarking, customer surveys and questionnaires.
Synthesize research findings into meaningful reports and outcomes.
Organise and manage note-taking during research interviews.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:
Experience in working at consumer-focused product companies delivering extraordinary user experiences.
The ability to direct, drive, and evolve research projects inside an ever-growing and experimenting environment.
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus) together with analytical thinking and problem-solving.
Capability to breakdown and simplify complex problems and being confident at presenting to a mixed audience of different levels in the organization.
A user-focused design mentality. Experienced in acquiring user feedback, whether it is conducting usability studies, performing user research, or A/B tests.
Experienced working in a dynamic design process where we let quantitative and qualitative customer data guide our designs.
Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed and prioritize.
A curiosity to learn and a willingness to adapt as new and different challenges constantly emerge.
Previous Experience:
3+ years of experience in product/interaction design research in a consumer-focused organization.
At a minimum bachelor's degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Operational experience in prioritization and time management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
Knowledge of MS Office. Additional knowledge of design research tools is a plus (Dovetail, Lookback).
Self-driven personality with proactive attitude and ability to maintain a structured working style.
