SENIOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ENGINEER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead and oversee junior team members, providing mentorship and guidance.
2. Conduct and manage transport planning, modelling, and analysis projects.
3. Work with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and strong problem-solving skills.
4. Ensure the delivery of high-quality TIS (Traffic Impact Studies) and TMP (Traffic Management Plans) projects.
5. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
6. Prepare and present reports, findings, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
7. Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
8. Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and regulations to ensure compliance and innovation in project delivery.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelors in Transportation and Civil Engineering; an MSc in Transport Planning or in Civil Engineering would be highly advantageous.
2. Candidates MUST be immediately available.
3. 6-12 years of experience in transport planning, modelling, and analysis.
4. At least 2 years of experience in UAE roles.
5. Proficiency in recognized transport modelling tools such as VISUM and STEAM (also known as CUBE).
6. Experience with junction operational analysis using tools like SIDRA, SYNCHRO, and HCS.
7. Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering TIS and TMP projects.
8. ITC (Integrated Transport Centre) recognition as Engineer or Modeller.
9. RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) registration as Engineer or Modeller is advantageous.
