The jobholder is responsible to conduct the instrumentation and control maintenance for equipment located in the respective asset, plant, or equipment to ensure that the maintenance activity is performed safely, continuously, and reliably working according to its intended purpose at a high-quality level, and maintain personal tools and housekeeping at the instrumentation and control workshop, to serve its purpose according to defined KPIs, and coordinate and follow-up with contractors and other external parties, as required.
Key Accountabilities
Maintenance Execution
Perform the assigned jobs as per the risk assessment and comply with the ADNOC HSE Procedures.
Perform scheduled predictive, preventative, and proactive maintenance on plant equipment as per approved Procedures / Work Instructions to ensure proper operating conditions of Company’s assets and adherence to international standards.
Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on all types of equipment independently with minimal supervision.
Report through proper communication channels on the assigned tasks.
Perform time writing in SAP for all activities performed.
Provide technical feedback in the SAP notification for the job performed.
Observe the status of equipment during routine inspection activities for abnormalities and report any defects to the relevant Line.
Assist/Conduct major/minor repairs on critical equipment shutdown and maintain a data log of jobs.
Propose improvement ideas to improve HSE, Maintenance program, and Reliability of the equipment.
Support commissioning and pre-commissioning activities for new projects.
Support plant operation during emergency, shutdown, silent hours, and plant start-up.
Support and participate in the company On Call system design for handling unplanned shutdowns and process upsets.
Operate, repair, and perform functional testing of lifting equipment, to the recognized standards.
Participate in condition monitoring checks on machinery and notify any malfunctions or defects to the immediate engineer.
Conduct new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment through various stages as per plan and in line with technical instructions and checks adherence to all parameters before handing over of equipment to Operations.
Troubleshoot, identify, and isolate faulty components on Rotating and Static equipment using manufacturers’ manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
Perform troubleshooting and shutdown maintenance repair and overhaul on all rotating and static equipment.
Operate and maintain the Electrical workshop by maintaining the Electrical equipment and testing tools in good condition and as per OEM recommendation.
Maintain necessary housekeeping in the Workplace.
Comply with all HSE and fire-related rules and regulations and observe all requirements stringently.
Discuss work assignments with Supervisor, examine faulty equipment to determine the scope of work, and obtain necessary tools and spare parts before starting the job.
Identify spare parts required for maintenance work from manufacturers’ drawings and spare parts lists.
Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent technical qualifications in Instrument & Control Discipline.
Experience in various Electrical equipment and their maintenance and troubleshooting.
Familiar with Electrical plant safety procedures and maintenance of quality procedures/records.
Effective communication and technical report writing skills in English.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of a wide range of equipment items of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
Thorough knowledge of HSE requirements for field maintenance jobs.
Hands-on SAP basic operations related to maintenance and basic computerized tools.
Inspects and tests equipment and circuits to identify malfunctions or defects, using wiring diagrams and testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or ammeters.
Vast experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of control valves and transmitters.
Working experience for field instruments calibration and HART communicator device.
Awareness about working software for MCMS, DCS, PLC & ESD.
Understands and uses the documentation and reporting procedures for abnormal conditions.
Working knowledge of Operation & Maintenance manuals and engineering documents/drawings to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning.
