Job description

The SVP P&C TechOps will play a critical leadership role in shaping and driving the people strategy across the technical operations of Arcera. This SVP will be responsible for fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture that aligns with the business goals and drives organizational growth. The SVP will be responsible for an integrated talent management, organizational development, leadership development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and overall employee experience across TechOps. As a key member of the TechOps leadership team as well as the People & Culture leadership team, the SVP will collaborate with senior business leaders to ensure people strategies are integrated into all TechOps units, contributing to business success.

Key responsibilities

  1. Global Leadership & Strategy:
    1. Develop and execute a comprehensive People and Culture strategy for TechOps, aligning with overall corporate objectives.
    2. Partner with the divisional executive leadership, and senior business leaders to shape the divisional culture, talent, and organizational development strategy in support of One Arcera strategy.
    3. Champion a people-first culture that prioritizes employee well-being, inclusion, and performance excellence.
  2. Talent Management & Development:
    1. Lead integrated talent management efforts for TechOps, ensuring the recruitment of top-tier talent that aligns with the organization’s values and business needs.
    2. Oversee leadership development programs, succession planning, and talent retention initiatives to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
    3. Drive continuous learning and professional development across TechOps to enhance capabilities and business results.
  3. Employee Engagement & Experience:
    1. Implement and monitor programs that foster a positive, high-engagement culture across all TechOps in support of One Arcera.
    2. Oversee employee engagement surveys and metrics, and partner with leadership to implement action plans based on feedback.
    3. Champion initiatives that create an inclusive, respectful, and empowering work environment for all employees.
  4. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
    1. Lead strategies to enhance diversity, equity, and inclusion within TechOps.
    2. Foster an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered.
  5. Organizational Design & Change Management:
    1. Provide leadership in organizational design and structure, ensuring that teams are appropriately resourced and aligned to deliver on business objectives.
    2. Lead change management efforts to support growth, transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives within TechOps.
  6. Performance & Reward Strategy:
    1. Oversee the development and implementation of performance management systems that align with TechOps business goals and foster accountability.
  7. Compliance & Regulatory:
    1. Ensure People and Culture practices are compliant with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations, especially within the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry.
    2. Partner with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risk in employee relations and ensure adherence to industry best practices.

  1. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute “People & Culture” strategies for the corporate functions aligned with business objectives, foresee challenges, and adapt plans accordingly.
  2. Change Management: Proficiency in leading organizational changes, including mergers and acquisitions, by effectively managing transitions, fostering cultural integration, and ensuring employee engagement.
  3. Business Acumen: Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry landscape, regulatory requirements, and market trends to tailor People & Culture value creation measures that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
  4. Leadership: Leading the People & Culture organisation of Arcera TechOps in line with our Arcera Values and exemplifies a positive leadership mind-set that makes others grow daily.
  5. Operational Excellence: Being knowledgeable of People and Culture operations and drive the enhancement of practices step by step.
  6. End-to-End Global Network Transformation & Optimization: Proven expertise in designing and leading transformations of fully integrated global networks, encompassing manufacturing, quality, supply chain, digital, and B2B operations. Adept at driving network optimization through data-driven decision-making, advanced digital technologies, and strategic partnerships. Skilled in fostering a transformation mindset.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 15 years of successful experiences in People & Culture, with at least 8 years in leadership roles, preferably in the life sciences industry and experience in Technical Operations.
  3. Proven track record of successfully working in multinational corporations, with experience in organic and inorganic growth strategies in TechOps or B2B.
  4. Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align People & Culture strategies for multi-business units.
  5. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  6. Fluency in English, Arabic is a nice to have. Other languages desirable.
  7. Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
