Duties & Responsibilities
1. Implementation & Configuration:
Lead and oversee the successful implementation and configuration of Sage X3 solutions.
Manage complex projects from system study and requirements gathering to system testing, data conversion, and go-live.
Configure Sage X3 modules to meet business requirements including finance, purchasing, and payment modules.
Drive system enhancements through business requirement analysis, blue printing, design specification, testing documentation, and training.
2. Technical Support:
Provide deep technical support for Sage X3 software including advanced database management (PL/SQL, SQL Server).
Develop, maintain, and enhance custom code, APIs, integrations, forms, tables, fields, and reports.
Utilize technical expertise in Sage X3 4GL and Crystal Reports for custom solutions and report writing.
Resolve complex technical issues and provide ongoing support to end-users.
Conduct unit testing and system integration testing including defect analysis and resolution.
3. Project Management:
Participate in and lead strategic planning of system infrastructure to maximize integration capabilities.
Assist in the integration of add-on modules into X3 core modules.
Manage the development and integration of Sage X3 add-ons to enhance system functionality.
Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
Develop and coordinate Sage X3 end-user training for business processes.
4. Functional Knowledge:
Apply strong functional knowledge of Sage X3 modules (finance, purchasing, sales, planning) to optimize system usage.
Stay updated with the latest functionalities and service packs of Sage X3.
5. Customer Interaction:
Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients and internal teams.
Provide excellent communication both verbal and written to convey system functionality and business process understanding.
Deliver proactive and sensitive customer service to address business needs.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Education & Certification:
Relevant degree in computer science or a related field.
Sage X3 Certification is a plus.
2. Experience:
Minimum 4 - 7 years of experience in Sage X3 implementation and configuration.
Proven track record of successful medium to large project implementations.
Extensive experience in customer support or consulting in Sage X3.
Strong technical skills in SQL, Sage X3 4GL, Crystal Reports, and integration with other systems.
