JOB TITLE: Senior Superintendent - Construction (Scaffolding)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all members of the scaffolding team are adequately trained and competent to perform their tasks.
- Ensure that the correct training is provided for the correct scaffolding system used (e.g., Cuplok, tube and fittings, Layer, Kwick stage, Aluminum mobile towers) and that valid certificates are provided.
- Overall planning and prioritizing of the scaffolding work, including the allocation of available manpower and material resources to serve the access requirements of the project most effectively.
- Ensure that all scaffolding material is correctly stored, erected, modified, and dismantled in compliance with the standards and project specifications.
- Obtain, when required, the design of scaffolding (drawing, calculations, and assembly instructions) from a qualified scaffold design engineer.
- Ensure that all safety requirements are adhered to including scaffold and harness inspections, Safety Reports, permits, etc. as per Petrofac procedures.
- Oversee toolbox talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with the scaffolders on a daily basis with the support of the site HSE officer.
- Conduct training of scaffolding personnel, VOC assessments, and maintain such records on site.
- Confirm that there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and taking any corrective action.
- Ensure that the implementation of Petrofac procedures are in place and that subcontractors adhere to them.
- Conduct audits and functional assessments on projects as advised by HOD.
- Share technical knowledge with subcontractors & Petrofac staff.
- Distribute site-wide bulletins for good communication with all personnel.
- Define clear roles and responsibilities for subordinates.
- Input site construction feedback in Construction Observation Form.

Knowledge & Qualifications
- 8+ years scaffolding site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors.
- Requirement: CISRS Advanced, CISRS supervision certification.
Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS/FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa.
- Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce.
