JOB TITLE: Senior Superintendent - Construction (Scaffolding)

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure all members of the scaffolding team are adequately trained and competent to perform their tasks.
2. Ensure that the correct training is provided for the correct scaffolding system used (e.g., Cuplok, tube and fittings, Layer, Kwick stage, Aluminum mobile towers) and that valid certificates are provided.
3. Overall planning and prioritizing of the scaffolding work, including the allocation of available manpower and material resources to serve the access requirements of the project most effectively.
4. Ensure that all scaffolding material is correctly stored, erected, modified, and dismantled in compliance with the standards and project specifications.
5. Obtain, when required, the design of scaffolding (drawing, calculations, and assembly instructions) from a qualified scaffold design engineer.
6. Ensure that all safety requirements are adhered to including scaffold and harness inspections, Safety Reports, permits, etc. as per Petrofac procedures.
7. Oversee toolbox talks and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with the scaffolders on a daily basis with the support of the site HSE officer.
8. Conduct training of scaffolding personnel, VOC assessments, and maintain such records on site.
9. Confirm that there is an effective procedure for reporting defects and incidents and taking any corrective action.
10. Ensure that the implementation of Petrofac procedures are in place and that subcontractors adhere to them.
11. Conduct audits and functional assessments on projects as advised by HOD.
12. Share technical knowledge with subcontractors & Petrofac staff.
13. Distribute site-wide bulletins for good communication with all personnel.
14. Define clear roles and responsibilities for subordinates.
15. Input site construction feedback in Construction Observation Form.

Knowledge & Qualifications

1. 8+ years scaffolding site experience in direct hire construction with an international oil & gas EPC company and with subcontractors.
2. Requirement: CISRS Advanced, CISRS supervision certification.

Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:

1. Experience working in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS/FSU), Middle East, and/or North Africa.
2. Prior experience working with a diverse international workforce.
