Job description

The primary function of this role is to drive the commercial performance of the store overseeing the strategy to increase its turnover and maximize profitability.

Main Responsibilities:

Store Performance Management

  1. Oversee all store operations.
  2. Ensuring high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation and upkeep.
  3. Maintaining customer relationships & provide exceptional customer service / handling customer complaints.
  4. Develop a loyal clientele and focus on client relations so a continued business is maintained throughout the year.
  5. Managing store inventory in the location, determining effective ways of liquidating ageing stocks and controlling/minimalizing loss of inventory.
  6. Ensure all store policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.
  7. Provide feedback on the clientele and product line performances and provide suggestions for improvement.
  8. Provide quantitative information on fast/slow movers, stock levels, customer trends and specific likes / dislikes to the Senior Management and Buying Department.
  9. Managing and motivating the sales team to ensure increased sales & efficiency.
  10. Maximize sales by implementing and monitoring the sales assistants and sales ability.

Team Management

  1. Ensure that your team always represents the image of the company and Brand.
  2. Lead and energize the team and organize their day-to-day work in the store.
  3. Ensuring the team is well presented, and in full uniform and well-groomed always in the store.
  4. Communicating and upholding all company policies, rules, and procedures. Ensuring proper cash management at the store.
  5. Take part in the coaching, development, motivation, and evaluation of the staff.
  6. Provide coaching and continuous feedback to the team to help upskill their sales capability.
  7. Shadow customers and provide them with all the information about the company they are working for.

Requirements:

  1. Strong knowledge of the industry with a minimum of 5 years in a similar capacity.
  2. Highly presentable and well groomed.
  3. Strong people management and leadership skills.
  4. Good reporting and analytical skills.
  5. Soft skills to include Perseverance, determination, and resilience.
  6. Ability to remain calm under pressure and adopt a flexible attitude.
