Senior Static Engineer Services

We are looking for Senior Static Engineer Services for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi UAE

Work Scheme: Resident

Starting date: Aug 2024

Duration: 1 year renewable

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• 15 years experience in the domain is required.
• In Vessel and Layout in oil & gas project/industry especially for onshore fields.
• In project at all life-cycle stages of project development (Basic and Detailed Engineering, Construction).
• Oil & Gas Piping & Vessel Materials, Design, Manufacturing and Testing according to industry standards and company specifications.
• International Vessels codes i.e. ASME B31, B16, ASME VIII, ASTM, API, ANSI.
• In Piping software & Piping vibration assessment - like PDMS/E3D, Caesar.
• In Sour Gas Service design.

Standard expertise is required in:

• Fabrication and NLG design.

Job dimensions:

During all phases of the Project:

• The job holder assists and reports to the Engineering Manager. The job holder is entitled to comply with rules and requirements of Project.
• The job holder brings support in Static Engineering.
• The job holder may have to liaise, as requested, with Iraq affiliate Engineering Dpt.
• The job holder shall observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his duties.
• The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating individually an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements.

Activities:

• Supervision and coordination of Vessels and Layout Engineering of EPC Contractors.
• Project and cost management in liaison with other disciplines.
• Technical papers preparation to support management position for clarifications/decisions with regulatory authorities of host countries, other entities or partners.
• Deviation requests coordination to the project referential, in a timely manner and with due consideration to cost and schedule.
• Participation during key project reviews, plot plan reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability review and design/model review meetings.
• Review of Vessel and layout documents in accordance with industry standards, codes and company specifications such as drawings of Vessel & supports, associated 3D Model, Stress analysis report, piping support, MTO, Layouts, Isometrics.
• Ensure the respect of the technical rules on construction discipline (correct usage of company's General Specifications and international norms) in pressurized vessels.
• Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered.
• Support to possible technical queries and derogations to Project specifications (technical, costs, planning, interfaces, reporting).
• Contribution to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, construction, installation and review/approval of deliverables from the design contractor (Engineering drawings, calculation notes, specifications, procedures).
• To comply with HSE requirements and to support and enforce the HSE Project objectives and directives.
• To support and implement the Project HSE management system (plans, procedure and specifications).

Accountabilities:

• Executing assigned scopes of work.
• Supporting and supervising task delegation to team.
• Providing discipline expertise to the business.
• Participating and preparing reports for project studies and other equipment workshops when required.
• Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline.
• Coordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
• Providing technical support to site/Affiliate as required.
• Producing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring that they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems.
• Attend CTR meetings and communicate issues with Engineering Manager as required.
• Interact with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times.
