Senior Static Engineer Services

We are looking for Senior Static Engineer Services for one of our clients with the following details:

Location: Abu Dhabi UAE

Work Scheme: Resident

Starting date: Aug 2024

Duration: 1 year renewable

Qualifications & Experience Required:

• 15 years experience in the domain is required.
• Experience in Vessel and Layout in oil & gas project/industry, especially for onshore fields.
• Experience in projects at all life-cycle stages of project development (Basic and Detailed Engineering, Construction).
• Knowledge of Oil & Gas Piping & Vessel Materials, Design, Manufacturing, and Testing according to industry standards and company specifications.
• Familiarity with international vessel codes, i.e., ASME B31, B16, ASME VIII, ASTM, API, ANSI.
• Experience with piping software & piping vibration assessment - like PDMS/E3D, Caesar.
• Experience in Sour Gas Service design.

Standard expertise is required in:

• Fabrication and NLG design.

Job Dimensions:

• The job holder assists and reports to the Engineering Manager and complies with rules and requirements of the project.
• The job holder provides support in Static Engineering.
• The job holder may liaise, as requested, with Iraq affiliate Engineering Department.
• The job holder shall observe strict confidentiality in the performance of his duties.
• The job holder is accountable for demonstrating exemplary behavior regarding HSSE rules & requirements.

Activities:

• Supervision and coordination of Vessels and Layout Engineering of EPC Contractors.
• Project and cost management in liaison with other disciplines.
• Preparation of technical papers to support management positions for clarifications/decisions with regulatory authorities of host countries, other entities, or partners.
• Coordination of deviation requests to the project referential in a timely manner, considering cost and schedule.
• Participation during key project reviews, plot plan reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability reviews, and design/model review meetings.
• Review of Vessel and Layout documents in accordance with industry standards, codes, and company specifications such as drawings of Vessel & supports, associated 3D Model, Stress analysis report, piping support, MTO, Layouts, and Isometrics.
• Ensuring respect for technical rules on construction discipline (correct usage of company's General Specifications and international norms) in pressurized vessels.
• Defining and correctly engineering all interfaces to other disciplines.
• Providing support for possible technical queries and derogations to Project specifications (technical, costs, planning, interfaces, reporting).
• Contributing to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and review/approval of deliverables from the design contractor (Engineering drawings, calculation notes, specifications, procedures).
• Complying with HSE requirements and supporting/enforcing the HSE Project objectives and directives.
• Supporting and implementing the Project HSE management system (plans, procedures, and specifications).

Accountabilities:

• Executing assigned scopes of work.
• Supporting and supervising task delegation to the team.
• Providing discipline expertise to the business.
• Participating in and preparing reports for project studies and other equipment workshops when required.
• Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline.
• Coordinating with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
• Providing technical support to site/Affiliate as required.
• Producing and reviewing specifications, data sheets, schedules, study reports, and design calculations; ensuring they conform to engineering quality, competence, and project management systems.
• Attending CTR meetings and communicating issues with the Engineering Manager as required.
• Interacting with team members in a positive and professional manner at all times.
