Job Description
Experience Required: 15 years of experience in the domain is required, specifically in Vessel and Layout in the oil & gas project/industry, especially for onshore fields. Involvement in projects at all life-cycle stages of development:
- Basic Engineering
- Detailed Engineering
- Construction
Technical Expertise: Oil & Gas Piping & Vessel Materials, Design, Manufacturing, and Testing according to industry standards and company specifications. Familiarity with international vessels codes such as ASME B31, B16, ASME VIII, ASTM, API, and ANSI is essential. Proficiency in piping software and piping vibration assessment tools like PDMS/E3D and Caesar is required. Expertise in Sour Gas Service design standards and Fabrication is necessary.
Job Dimensions: During all phases of the project, the job holder will assist and report to the Engineering Manager. The job holder must comply with the rules and requirements of the project and will provide support in Static Engineering. Liaison with the Iraq affiliate Engineering Department may be requested. The job holder must observe strict confidentiality in their duties and is accountable for demonstrating exemplary behavior with respect to HSSE rules and requirements.
Activities
- Supervision and coordination of Vessels and Layout Engineering of EPC Contractors.
- Project and cost management in liaison with other disciplines.
- Preparation of technical papers to support management positions for clarifications/decisions with regulatory authorities, entities, or partners.
- Coordination of deviation requests to the project referential in a timely manner, with due consideration to cost and schedule.
- Participation during key project reviews such as plot plan reviews, HAZOP reviews, constructability reviews, and design/model review meetings.
- Review of Vessel and layout documents in accordance with industry standards, codes, and company specifications, including drawings of Vessel & supports, associated 3D Model, Stress analysis report, piping support, MTO, Layouts, and Isometrics.
- Ensure the respect of technical rules on construction discipline (correct usage of company's General Specifications and international norms) in pressurized vessels.
- Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines are clearly defined and correctly engineered.
- Support to possible technical queries and derogations to Project specifications concerning technical aspects, costs, planning, interfaces, and reporting.
- Contribute to the evaluation of engineering, procurement, and construction, installation, and review/approval of deliverables from the design contractor (Engineering drawings, calculation notes, specifications, procedures).
- Comply with HSE requirements and support/enforce HSE Project objectives and directives.
- Support and implement the Project HSE management system (plans, procedures, and specifications).
