Senior Specialist Sustainability

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives, aligning them with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Conduct thorough environmental assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to departments within the organization to integrate sustainability practices into their daily operations.
• Monitor and analyze energy, water, waste, and carbon emissions data to track the organization's environmental performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainable solutions in areas such as energy efficiency, waste management, and supply chain optimization.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to sustainability.
• Conduct sustainability training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of sustainability within the organization.
• Prepare and present reports on sustainability initiatives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and management.
• Engage with external stakeholders, such as suppliers, regulators, and community organizations, to promote sustainability initiatives and partnerships.
• Act as an advocate for sustainability, raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices both internally and externally.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Proven work experience in sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).
• Knowledge of environmental assessment and auditing methodologies.
