Senior Software Engineer (Mulesoft)

What You'll Be Doing

1. Senior Software Engineer - MuleSoft, spearheading backend development, leading a team, and collaborating cross-functionally.
2. Architect and implement robust microservices, loosely coupled systems, and solutions for high-quality products.
3. Design and implement robust integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
4. Translate complex business requirements into scalable, well-architected MuleSoft applications.
5. Champion secure development practices. Design APIs with security at their core.
6. Develop and maintain high-quality, testable code.
7. Write clean and maintainable code according to industry standards and company style guides.
8. Collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team.
9. Communicate technical solutions to stakeholders, and proactively seek input to enhance project outcomes.
10. Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.
11. Participate in code reviews, drive continuous improvement in development practices, and share knowledge with the team.
12. Stay ahead in the integration landscape. Explore and advocate for the adoption of new MuleSoft features and best practices to drive innovation.
13. Demonstrate project ownership. Manage projects effectively from start to finish, driving accountability and delivering against project milestones.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

1. Integration Development: 4+ years of software development experience with strong MuleSoft expertise (Mule 3 and Mule 4).
2. Translating Business Needs: Ability to design integration solutions that align with business requirements.
3. API & Messaging Mastery: Proficient in API design, security, third-party integrations, and messaging systems.
4. CI/CD & Delivery: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and proactive risk mitigation within the development lifecycle.
5. Good Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
6. Retail Industry Knowledge (Plus): Familiarity with common retail business processes, data flows, and technology systems.
7. Growth Mindset: Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with integration technologies.
8. AWS Advantage: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a significant plus.
