We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Engineer with extensive Magento experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and maintaining Magento-based e-commerce applications, a deep understanding of PHP and Magento frameworks, and the ability to work on complex projects. You will be instrumental in designing and implementing high-quality e-commerce solutions that meet the needs of our clients and customers.

Responsibilities:

1. Developing, testing, and maintaining robust, scalable, high-quality Magento e-commerce applications and services.
2. Customizing and extending Magento functionality using PHP and Magento's APIs.
3. Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing existing Magento applications for maximum speed and scalability.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
5. Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of Magento applications.
6. Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following Magento best practices.
7. Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to team members.
8. Mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
9. Staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in Magento and e-commerce development and applying them to projects as appropriate.
10. Working closely with product managers, designers, QA team and other stakeholders to deliver project requirements on time.
11. Developing and maintaining technical documentation related to Magento development.

Your skills would include:

1. Strong proficiency in PHP and Magento frameworks (e.g., Laravel).
2. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
3. Proficiency in database design and management with MySQL or other relational databases.
4. Familiarity with indexing concepts and Elasticsearch.
5. Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
6. Knowledge of GraphQL & RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
7. Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira).
8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 8+ years of experience in PHP development.
3. 4+ years of experience with Magento development.
4. Magento certification (e.g., Magento Certified Developer).
5. Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
6. Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
7. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
8. Experience with microservices architecture.
9. Previous experience in a mentoring role.
