Primary Responsibilities:

1. Design/build massive scale, distributed computing solutions with a focus on information security.
2. Drive the team’s technical direction, strategize and shape our long-term vision and architecture.
3. Own major deliverables end-to-end, drive roadmaps, and provide technical leadership to the engineering team.
4. Conceive and design highly secure, scalable, and robust software to address opportunities in the payments industry through cloud computing.
5. Work with security engineers and product managers in developing a strategy and roadmap to provide secure solutions for our customers.
6. Collaborate closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
7. Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
8. Manage project prioritization, planning of projects and features, stakeholder management, and tracking of external commitments.
9. Monitor and operate production services for operational excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 9+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 9+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
