Job description

As a Senior Service Engineer for the Quality Department, you will play a critical role in providing high-level technical support and service to our clients. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing complex systems and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnosing issues and providing solutions for technical problems.
  2. Perform investigations on issues found at customer sites & prepare technical reports.
  3. Provide expert technical support to clients, addressing their queries and concerns effectively, including but not limited to electrical switchgear, transformers, Drives, etc.
  4. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failure modes (root cause analysis) for medium voltage and low voltage products. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  5. Perform repairs and preventive maintenance for medium voltage and low voltage products and prepare detailed reports.
  6. Utilize electrotechnical ability to resolve mechanical or electrical issues at site.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service processes and customer experience.
  8. Experience in configuration, testing, and analyzing fault events of protection relays like Sepam and Micom.
  9. Mentor and train team engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  10. Conduct regular inspections and assessments at site to ensure reliability and safety.
  11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
  12. Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  13. Provide training and support to team members as well as to customers for Schneider Electric medium voltage and low voltage products.
  14. Submit opportunities detected during site interventions.
  15. Knowledge of digital tools to provide digital solutions to customers.

Skills and attributes:

  1. Good communication skills with proficiency in English (written and verbal). Strong interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork.
  2. Technical expertise & strong knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage products or power systems relevant to the industry.
  3. Presentation skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  4. Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently under pressure.
  5. Adaptability: Willingness to travel for work 70% and adapt to various work environments.

Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a 3-year diploma in a related field of electrical and electronics.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a service engineering role or similar field.

Note: UAE driving licence is required.
