Description:

Stantec is currently looking for a Senior Site Architect with Healthcare experience to join our dynamic site team and to support on the construction supervision on a healthcare project in UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Hands on in monitoring the architectural works for conformance with the provisions of the contract documents and the procedures manual.
2. Reviewing, and processing all architectural technical submittals.
3. Coordinate process with other disciplines for all clinical spaces, especially the coordination with Medical equipment suppliers.
4. Answering RFIs related to architecture.
5. Coordinating and supervising the work of all architectural activities and operations.
6. Reviewing contractor’s architectural change order proposals and preparing recommendations to Architectural PM.
7. Lead the coordination process with other disciplines and liaise with the necessary sub consultants.
8. Reviewing contractors claims related to architectural works and preparing recommendations for claims to Architectural PM.
9. Reviewing the contractor’s project record documents relevant to their discipline.
10. Managing the architectural inspectors.
11. Analyzing laboratory and testing reports.
12. Assisting with the inspection of completed works and monitoring the start-up, testing, commissioning and handover of the architectural works.
13. Signing off on completed architectural works with completed documentation.
14. Prepare weekly planning and weekly report.
15. Perform all other duties given by the RE/PM.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
2. 15 years of ME experience including with 6-8 years in UAE working in international consultant environment.
3. Healthcare facility project delivery/construction experience would be preferred.
4. Strong technical knowledge in exterior envelope details and material interface.
5. Good knowledge of the UAE building codes.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solution (Excel, Word).
8. Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation.
9. Knowledge / experience in AUTO CAD.
10. Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements.
11. Complete project understanding in given discipline, from start to hand-over.
