Senior Security Manager

The primary purpose is to manage and exercise oversight of the development and implementation of an effective security strategy and solution for existing and new Data Centers in Bangkok. This includes the prevention and mitigation of security risks, securing of company and customer assets, information and data, safeguarding of personnel, customers, and visitors.
This role is currently planned to have responsibility for our up and coming Data Centers in Bangkok; however, the intention is for this role to develop as the business expands across the country and region. The successful candidate is required to have experience in dealing with multiple sites.

1. Leadership and Team Management

1. Strong supervisory skills to manage and motivate security staff.
2. Ability to lead teams in high-pressure situations and during emergencies.
3. Conflict resolution skills to handle disputes or issues among security personnel or with the general public.

2. Knowledge of Security Procedures and Protocols

1. In-depth understanding of security systems, protocols, and best practices.
2. Familiarity with monitoring systems, CCTV, alarm systems, and access control technologies.
3. Experience with physical security measures (e.g., locks, barriers) and emergency response plans.

3. Risk Assessment and Management

1. Ability to assess security risks, identify vulnerabilities, and implement solutions to prevent threats.
2. Skilled in evaluating potential risks and devising strategies to address and mitigate those risks.
3. Regularly conducting security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with safety standards.

4. Emergency Response and Crisis Management

1. Expertise in responding to various emergency situations such as fires, break-ins, medical emergencies, or natural disasters.
2. Ability to train security staff and others in emergency response and evacuation procedures.
3. Quick decision-making in high-stress environments to ensure the safety of people and assets.

5. Communication Skills

1. Clear and effective communication with security teams, senior management, employees, and law enforcement.
2. Writing and maintaining reports related to incidents, security breaches, or accidents.
3. Strong verbal communication to relay security concerns or update stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

6. Attention to Detail

1. Ability to monitor and detect potential security threats or breaches.
2. Strong observation skills to spot suspicious activities and prevent incidents before they escalate.
3. Ensuring that security logs, reports, and surveillance footage are meticulously documented.

7. Knowledge of Legal and Regulatory Requirements

1. Understanding of legal aspects of security management, including privacy laws, labor laws, and liability issues.
2. Keeping up to date with any changes in security regulations and ensuring compliance within the organization.
3. Familiarity with workplace health and safety standards and regulatory requirements for security operations.

Security Operations Management:

1. Assist in the daily operations of the security department, overseeing the work of security personnel, ensuring the proper execution of security protocols.
2. Ensure the effective operation of security systems (CCTV, alarms, access control, etc.), maintaining logs, and troubleshooting any issues with security equipment.
3. Monitor security activities across various shifts, ensuring appropriate coverage and that procedures are followed.

Staff Training and Development:

1. Train and educate security staff on policies, procedures, and protocols.
2. Conduct regular drills for emergency situations like fires, evacuations, or medical emergencies.
3. Oversee the recruitment, scheduling, and performance management of security personnel.

Risk Management and Incident Response:

1. Conduct regular risk assessments of the premises, identifying potential vulnerabilities and developing mitigation strategies.
2. Respond to security incidents, accidents, or breaches, documenting all incidents and taking corrective actions where necessary.
3. Ensure the prompt reporting of security breaches and follow up on investigations.

Emergency Preparedness:

1. Develop and enforce emergency response procedures, ensuring all personnel are familiar with evacuation plans, fire drills, and crisis management protocols.
2. Act as a point of contact during emergencies, ensuring proper coordination between security teams, management, and emergency responders.

Policy Implementation and Compliance:

1. Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies and procedures.
2. Ensure compliance with all security-related regulations, laws, and organizational standards.
3. Regularly audit security processes to ensure they meet compliance and performance standards.

Collaboration with External Authorities:

1. Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, or other emergency services when needed.
2. Coordinate security activities with local authorities in the event of a security breach or large-scale incident.

Reporting and Documentation:

1. Maintain accurate records of security activities, incidents, and accidents, producing detailed reports for management review.
2. Analyze security data and incidents to identify trends and areas for improvement in policies and procedures.
3. Prepare regular security updates for senior management, identifying risks and improvements needed.

Security Technology Management:

1. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and functionality of security systems, including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
2. Ensure proper surveillance and monitoring of high-risk areas, handling data collection and analysis from security systems.
