Carter Murray is excited to be working alongside an international electronics company for a Senior Sales Manager.

The Role:

The Senior Sales Manager oversees the clients sales function for the African market leading comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion. This role involves managing a diverse distributor/channel/reseller network, optimizing sales processes, and ensuring continuous improvement. The position also focuses on cultivating and retaining key accounts, addressing client-specific needs, managing budgets, and identifying new market entry strategies. Extensive travel is required to support countries across Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic and Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with business vision and objectives.
  • Translate business strategy into operational plans, incorporating revenue and market share details.
  • Monitor team and channel partner performance to ensure alignment with business plans.
  • Implement sales policies, systems, processes, and controls in line with the organisations policies.
  • Manage compliance frameworks and programs within the sales department.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for diverse regional markets.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, adapting to different regions.
  • Train and optimize resources with regional dealer/distributor/reseller teams.
  • Continuously improve sales processes and workflows.
  • Cultivate and retain client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Manage sales budgets, including PSI methodology and travel expense control.
  • Monitor and assess KPIs to boost distributor and team performance.
  • Conduct market research and develop market entry strategies.
  • Foster strategic alliances and partnerships in key markets.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with data protection regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • You must have MFP A3 experience in African markets
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or equivalent. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.
  • Skills: Experience in sales within diverse industries and markets, strategic and analytical thinking, customer relationship management, leadership and team management, marketing principles, and identifying market opportunities and threats.
