Job description

Oversee over clients BSD’s Sales function for the assigned markets by leading comprehensive sales strategies for diverse international markets, driving revenue growth and market expansion. The position holder drives sales thru leads a diverse distributor/channel /reseller - direct & indirect sales network , optimizes sales process, and ensure continuous improvement in line with the organization's overall objectives. In addition, the position holder focuses on cultivating and retaining key accounts regionally. This includes addressing client-specific needs, budget management, and providing insights for financial risk mitigation strategy. Lastly, the position holder identifies and executes new market entry strategies. The position holder frequently fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and potential business partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, Propose and Implement the Sales functional strategy in line with business vision, mission, and corporate objectives - for the assigned markets.
  • Ensure the translation of the overarching business strategy into fiscal and annual operational plans for sales, incorporating revenue and market share details.
  • Monitor the performance of teams and channel partners to verify alignment with the business plans and overall strategy.
  • Implement Sales functional policy, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all Sales functional areas in line with the clients policies to ensure fulfilment of all relevant procedural/legislative requirements while delivering quality and cost-effective service in a consistent manner.
  • Manage Sales compliance frameworks and programs within the Sales department, ensuring alignment with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Establish reporting mechanisms to proactively monitor and report on risk and compliance issues within the Sales department and collaborate with senior leadership to escalate critical matters for timely resolution, while also offering recommendations for mitigation.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to diverse regional markets, aiming to achieve revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Lead and mentor a sales team, ensuring they adapt to different regions.
  • Continuously improve sales processes and workflows, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in lead generation, qualification, and closing deals.
  • Adapt to cross-cultural nuances and executes process optimization.
  • Cultivate and retain client relationships across assigned markets, ensuring that client-specific needs are addressed and leading to sustained customer loyalty.
  • Conduct assessments of customer requirements, considering the unique dynamics of each region, and focus on consistent customer satisfaction through proactive issue resolution.
  • Implement a customer advocacy program, encouraging satisfied clients to serve as references and advocates for your company.
  • Strategically review and employ PSI (Purchase, Sales, Inventory) methodology for comprehensive Sales Budget Management, navigating diverse economic conditions, currency dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and assess KPIs to provide feedback and coaching that boosts distributor and team performance, aligning targets with both regional and company goals.
  • Set ambitious performance targets that reflect regional variations in market potential and competition while creating equitable rewards and recognition systems that resonate with diverse market conditions incorporating the inputs and feedback from respective sales team members/report(s).

Key Requirements

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience (sales)
  • Prior experience working for an electronics manufacturer
  • Ability to travel extensively across the MEA region
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Bachelor's degree
