Designation: Senior Sales Engineer 3D Laser Scanning, Mobile Mapping and Mapping Drones

Reporting to: Key Account Manager/Channel Manager

Job Purpose: Senior Sales Engineer will sell products such as 3D Laser Scanners, Mobile Mapping Solutions, Mapping Drones. This role is crucial to driving sales by identifying client needs, consulting on technical solutions, and customizing geospatial solutions across industries, including construction, infrastructure, urban planning, and beyond. As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of surveying, construction, digital twins, Building Information Modeling (BIM), geospatial products and advanced positioning technology to guide clients through high-stakes decision-making processes. This role demands both a profound technical understanding of these technologies and the ability to communicate complex solutions in a clear, compelling, and results-oriented manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Skill: Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to drive revenue and achieve sales targets for 3D laser scanning, mobile mapping, and drone-based solutions.
  2. Client Consultation: Engage with clients to assess their geospatial needs, propose tailored solutions, and demonstrate product capabilities.
  3. Technical Expertise: Provide in-depth product knowledge, addressing technical questions and challenges during the sales cycle.
  4. Product Demonstrations: Conduct on-site and virtual demonstrations, showcasing the value of our 3D laser scanning and mapping solutions.
  5. Market Development: Identify new market opportunities and build relationships with key industry players to expand our customer base.
  6. Training & Support: Collaborate with post-sales teams to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing client support. Deliver client training sessions as needed.
  7. Market Analysis: Track industry trends and competitor offerings to keep our solutions competitive and relevant.
  8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with product and marketing teams to refine solutions based on customer feedback and market demands.

Educational Qualification:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred Geospatial engineering, Civil, Surveying, or other related Engineering fields; advanced degree preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, preferably with expertise in 3D laser scanning, mobile mapping, or UAV mapping solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with 3D laser scanners, mobile mapping platforms, drones, and associated software (e.g., LiDAR processing, photogrammetry, GIS).
  • Sales Skills: Strong record of achieving sales targets with complex technical products.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess client needs, recommend solutions, and customize offerings to address specific project requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technology to a non-technical audience.

Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for client visits, demonstrations, and trade shows.
