Department: General Finance

Role: The role of a Senior Role in General Finance is to oversee and manage the financial aspects of an organization to ensure its financial health and sustainability. This includes a range of responsibilities, including ensuring that supporting processes are established to meet the governance framework of the company.

PERFORMANCE DRIVEN CULTURE: WHAT WILL YOU BE MEASURED AGAINST

  • Ensuring compliance with Financial and Cost Accounting Systems and Financial Policies and procedures of the Company.
  • Understanding financial data, interpreting financial reports, conducting research across the organization, generating statistics to drive the business forward, and knowing the market trends.
  • Compliance with both internal and external Audit requirements.
  • Pro-active communication with fellow Ambassadors, Vendors, and Suppliers always with Company’s interests in mind.
  • Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Collated budget and forecast from departments for submission.
  • Ensure accounting is done as per accounting standards.
  • Lead and review balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Lead bookkeeping and accounting for respective IBUs.
  • Liaise with Auditors.
  • Manage accounting for loyalty program.
  • Manage collection for management fees.
  • Manage management company revenue and expenses.
  • Manage related party collections and settlements.
  • Manage shared services allocation.
  • Manage TD and Municipality fee submissions.
  • Review month-end accruals and allocations.
  • Support projects and pre-opening.
  • Preparing for VAT reporting and submission.
  • Fast-paced & Resilience.
  • Problem solving & Creative thinking.
  • Handling high pressure.
  • Decision making.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

  • Minimum College degree in Commerce or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Finance Specialist in a Senior role / similar experience in a 5-star hospitality industry.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position in a 5-star hospitality company.
  • Excellent Excel skills and knowledgeable in using Microsoft Financial and IBM Planning Systems.
