Job Description

• Lead cost estimation efforts for complex construction projects, ensuring accuracy from the design phase through to completion.
• Prepare comprehensive tender documents and evaluate bids, leveraging market insights to secure the best value for the project.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and costs, identifying any discrepancies and implementing corrective measures promptly.
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to resolve issues and optimize project delivery while maintaining budgetary constraints.
• Provide expert advice on contract administration, ensuring compliance with legal standards and project specifications.
• Analyze financial reports and cost data to forecast project budgets, allowing for informed decision-making by stakeholders.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring favorable terms that align with project goals.
• Manage project cash flow and payment schedules, ensuring timely disbursement and tracking of expenses.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Mentor junior quantity surveyors and support their professional development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Desired Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, with a strong academic foundation in construction economics.
• Familiarity with local construction laws and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Proficient in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite, enhancing productivity and accuracy.
