Job Description

An experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong focus on pre-contract procurement. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cost planning, tendering, contract negotiation, and procurement strategy development from a developer's perspective.

Responsibilities

1. Pre-Contract Procurement:

• Lead the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and schedules of works.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis and benchmarking for various projects.
• Evaluate and select subcontractors and suppliers through a competitive tendering process.
• Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing with contractors and suppliers.

• Prepare detailed cost plans and budgets for proposed developments.
• Monitor and control project costs from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Provide accurate cost forecasting and reporting to senior management.
• Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions to minimize financial risks.

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement activities with project goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, contractors, and consultants.

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities, including contracts, tender documents, and cost reports.
• Present cost and procurement reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent is preferred.
• Proven track record of managing procurement activities for large-scale development projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
