Senior Quality Engineer
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality assurance and control processes for engineering and construction projects.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Review and approve project plans, specifications, and materials to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans, inspection and test plans, and quality records.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide training and support to project teams on quality assurance processes and best practices.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address non-conformances.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Prepare and present quality reports, progress updates, and documentation to clients and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest quality management systems, tools, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Quality Engineer certification (e.g., CQE) preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within the engineering and construction industry.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and industry standards.
- Proficiency in quality management tools and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience with project management and construction oversight is a plus
