Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures and guidelines for construction projects.
Conduct inspections, audits, and tests of construction materials, workmanship, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
Identify and report non-conformities, deviations, and deficiencies in construction activities, and collaborate with project teams to implement corrective actions.
Review construction drawings, design specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and track quality performance metrics, analyze data, and generate reports to communicate findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve quality-related issues and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct internal and external quality audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality management systems and project requirements.
Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and quality assurance strategies.
Maintain documentation and records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within the contracting industry.
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques, and familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI, ASME).
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and tools, such as ISO 9001.
Proficiency in conducting quality inspections, tests, and audits using applicable tools and equipment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor) is a plus.
