Senior Project Surveyor

The Senior Project Surveyor (SPS) will lead key elements of the site-based post contract delivery based on site or clients' offices in Abu Dhabi. The candidate will be expected to work well as part of a team and autonomously and know when to reach back to the office / line manager for additional support.
Job Duties

1. To achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the firm.
2. Experience in procurement and tendering.
3. Ability to integrate with key members of the design team and Client team.
4. Assist in evaluating claims.
5. Preparation of financial updates and monthly cost reports.
6. Assess and value progress payments and change requests.
7. Review and compare scopes of work, production rates, and cost data.
8. Preparation of earned value reports.
9. Prepare, review, and update cash-flows.
10. Estimate variation orders for Contractors/Subcontractors.
11. Evaluate and negotiate variations and change orders in liaison with the Contract Administrator, Design and Construction Teams.
12. Evaluate and negotiate final accounts settlements.

Qualification

1. Must have a QS or Engineering degree or similar equivalent.
2. MRICS Desirable.

1. High level of literacy skills in English.
2. Excellent working knowledge of industry best practices.
3. To be part of our commercial team on building projects.
4. Good working knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
5. Knowledge of cost and contract management techniques, budget management and change control.
6. Ability to present confidently.
7. Ability to act with discretion and safeguard confidentiality of project data.
8. Computer literate, with specific experience in Cost Management software programs.
