The Projects Senior Specialist is responsible for managing multiple projects through the project lifecycle. The Senior Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the effective management of projects within University. This role is instrumental in maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and optimizing cross-functional projects’ performance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Manage projects throughout the project lifecycle as per industry standards (initiation, planning, executing, monitoring, closure).
Manage projects to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, effective resource allocation, and scope of project.
Provide support in the development of proposals for assigned projects including project objectives, timelines, funding, and staffing.
Establish and implement project communication plans, providing status updates to affected staff and stakeholders.
Assist the Manager in the development and management of project budgets.
Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends as needed to prepare project status reports.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
Facilitate effective collaboration among project team members, ensuring alignment and understanding of project goals and expectations.
Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly
Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed
Demonstrate a strong commitment and practice to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Masters degree preferred
• PMP certification
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, and industry best practices
Required Experience:
Minimum of 6 years of experience with minimum 3 years in project management
