Senior Project Manager/Business Manager

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager / Senior Manager to join our leadership team. This role is pivotal in driving large-scale projects, enhancing stakeholder communication, and setting project and people management guidelines for our team leads and development teams. The ideal candidate will work closely with our tech lead to align technical initiatives with business objectives, ensuring seamless execution and delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Communication:

1. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders.
2. Communicate project status, risks, and opportunities to executives, clients, and cross-functional teams.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.

Project Management Leadership:

1. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology projects.
2. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
3. Implement best practices and methodologies for project management to improve efficiency and outcomes.

People Management and Guidelines:

1. Develop and establish project and people management guidelines for team leads overseeing development teams.
2. Mentor and coach team leads on leadership skills, project planning, and resource management.
3. Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.

Collaboration with Tech Management:

1. Assist in developing and executing the technology strategy.
2. Align project objectives with the company’s strategic goals and technology roadmap.
3. Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements within the technology department.

Risk Management and Problem-Solving:

1. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
2. Resolve conflicts and obstacles that may impede project success.
3. Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Continuous Improvement:

1. Drive initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and methodologies.
2. Lead retrospectives and implement lessons learned to improve future project performance.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in project management within the technology sector, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
3. Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools.
5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
6. Demonstrated leadership abilities in guiding teams and developing management guidelines.
7. Experience collaborating with executive leadership, particularly in tech field.
8. PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is highly desirable.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
10. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
