The role?
- To deliver efficiently and on time specifically assigned projects to stakeholders as directed whilst maximizing the potential for EnerMech.
- This job requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and leadership qualities to manage clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Act as a point of contact for technical support during the pre-commissioning process.
- Responsible for project engineering tasks, from initial kick-off to final account, which includes pre-engineering, selection of equipment spreads for Pre-Commissioning activities, and identification of required vendors, as per bids or project requirements.
- Perform multi-discipline coordination of engineering and all other functions necessary for project delivery.
- Must have a strong knowledge of pipeline Pre-Commissioning and De-Commissioning specifications.
- Office-based duties will also include direct control of project status reporting and project close-out documentation.
- Responsible for participating in client meetings to provide updates on project activities and maintaining schedules for relevant project resources.
- Proactively identify and communicate risks to project schedules, deliverables, and costs.
- Site-based duties will include being a client representative with responsibility for aspects of work scope implementation by client and company procedure.
Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
- Responsible for the delivery of work scopes, from initial inquiry to final account.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for pre-commissioning activities.
- Responsible for providing knowledge and technical input to address challenges during pipeline pre-commissioning activities.
- Both working alone and contributing to multi-discipline project teams for the purpose of delivering our client's projects including management of and communication with 3rd party suppliers, sub-contractors, and EnerMech service departments.
- Responsible for supervising pre-commissioning engineering deliverables including internal, subcontractor, or supplier deliverables.
- Performing and, where appropriate, leading site work scopes as EnerMech responsible project engineer.
- Responsible for the collation of project-related documents such as but not limited to job tenders / costings, project plans, work schedules, work scope implementation methodologies, closeout and certification documentation.
- Responsible for developing the technical documentation related to the Flooding, Cleaning, Gauging, Hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, vacuum drying, nitrogen purging and all Pre-Commissioning and Decommissioning activities defined by either the bid or project requirements.
- Design of the temporary items to be prefabricated for the execution of pipeline Pre-Commissioning and decommissioning projects.
- Accountable for the accurate completion of purchase requisitions.
- Responsible for progress chasing where required.
- To plan, provide for and deliver pre-job briefs for assigned activities.
- Responsible for ensuring materials, personnel and equipment are fit for purpose, available and dispatched in a timely manner for assigned activities.
- Control of and issue of documentation to company and client standards.
- Responsible for drafting and issuing project change documentation capturing scope growth and or variations.
- Identify and communicate risks to the project and manage them appropriately.
Requirements
- Higher National Diploma in a recognized and relevant engineering discipline or equivalent with a willingness to develop further education.
- Valid OGUK Survival and Medical.
Preferred:
- Engineering degree or similar qualification with appropriate experience.
