We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Senior Project Controls Engineer to join a prestigious project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in FEED and EPC project phases, with a preference for those with ADNOC project experience. The role involves leading project controls functions, including planning, scheduling, and cost management, for large-scale oil and gas projects within the Middle East's challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Set-Up:
Collaborate with project management, system administration, and document controls teams to establish an effective project setup that meets internal and external Project Services requirements.
Define and implement project controls processes, tools, and procedures.
Planning/Scheduling:
Provide planning and scheduling expertise to project teams, ensuring that completion dates align with project milestones.
Develop and maintain project schedules, including resource allocation and critical path analysis.
Monitor progress and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from the plan.
Cost Management/Control:
Deliver cost control services, ensuring proper tracking, forecasting, and reporting of project costs.
Establish and manage project budgets, profitability monitoring, and cost variance analysis.
Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment between cost management and project progress.
Requirements:
Minimum 12 years of experience in planning and cost control within the oil and gas industry, with at least 8 years as a Project Controls Engineer on offshore/onshore projects.
Extensive experience in FEED and EPC project phases.
ADNOC project experience is highly desirable.
Proven track record of working on mega oil and gas projects in the Middle East.
Background with reputed EPC contractors operating in the region.
Proficiency in project control tools and software, such as Primavera P6, and strong knowledge of cost control methodologies.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
