Job Title: Purchasing Officer

The role of Purchasing Officer is to ensure that the vessels, workshops, shipyards or other clients are supplied with authorized stores, spares and other products in a timely manner and approved costs consistent with Company Quality and Purchasing policies at the most competitive costs.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing materials, goods, products and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective deals.
2. Co-ordinating and managing the progress and delivery of orders, resolving any discrepancies.
3. Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
4. Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors.
5. Documenting all activities, maintaining the database up to date.
