Senior Process Engineer - NGL Fractionation

Responsibilities:

1. Perform in-depth plant monitoring and optimize the performance of assigned units by overseeing operations and economic losses. Issue detailed reports to recommend changes supported by simulation models to optimize unit operations.
2. Lead unit operations troubleshooting and investigate off-spec products and plant trips/upsets. Manage the required deliverables and support operations during turnarounds and unplanned shutdowns/startups by understanding the unit operating conditions and transient effects to recommend operational improvements.
3. Perform specific tasks such as catalyst/desiccant forecasts/evaluations, test runs, debottlenecking studies, due diligence assessments, enhancement studies, and HAZOP studies.
4. Take on the lead role in process safety management, overseeing HAZOP, PSR, SIL, PSSR, RA, and alarm rationalization. Lead HAZOP/Process Safety Reviews of plant operations and new modifications.
5. Manage long and short-term projects by proposing major projects to improve safety, reliability, and profitability. Prepare design requests, budget justifications, and detailed implementation plans for economically justifiable projects. Develop detailed engineering design packages for in-house process-oriented projects and follow up on implementation.
6. Ensure environmental and safety awareness by working closely with the facility Safety and Environment management to improve safety and achieve the highest environmental standards.
7. Liaise with vendors and technology licensors for process enhancements and changes.
8. Train younger or less-experienced engineers by providing necessary guidance, assessing strengths and skills in need of improvement. Serve as a technical mentor/advisor to enhance the technical knowledge of the engineers through practical field discussions, demonstrations, and/or simulations using available engineering aids.
