Conduct study on Engineering Service Request (ESR) related to Process Engineering and operation of Dolphin Energy's facilities onshore and offshore. Perform the study comprehensively with conclusions and recommendations.
ESR Study and other process engineering activities would require performing the following works:
Review real-time database (RTDB), operating logs, process control computer printouts, daily/weekly/special reports. Analyze respective causes of problems and recommend changes or alterations to operating parameters to avoid recurrence of problems or improve safety, integrity, operability, availability, and reliability of the system.
Carry out special laboratory testing programs with identification of appropriate quality parameters to anticipate, evaluate, and resolve process problems. Review, analyze, and infer laboratory results enabling troubleshooting and failure analysis.
Provide process and technical support to the Operations team, advising on optimization of process operations.
Qualification and tendering of Catalysts, Molecular sieves, Kinetic Hydrate Inhibitor (KHI), and other process and water treatment chemicals.
Conduct internal studies such as Energy Efficiency, Decarbonization, Flaring Reduction, Chemical, and Cost Optimization.
Review existing process control schemes, C&E Chart, and suggest improvements commensurate with the latest developments. Interact with the Company's I&C and Automation.
Recommend means of increasing productivity, safety, integrity, and reducing costs whenever possible to provide maximum benefit to the Company.
Participate in cost estimates and economic comparisons of alternate schemes for modifications or new projects.
Review technical specifications and proposals from suppliers of various specialty and commodity chemicals used for various water treatment and gas processing units at Ras Laffan plant.
Prepare Facilities Modification Proposals (FMP), liaise as Process-In-Charge for Operational Management Review, HSE Management Review, Process Hazards Analysis. Prepare Comment Resolution Sheet (CRS), incorporate comments into FMP documents, and liaise until management approval.
Conduct feasibility studies and develop the Statement of Requirements (SOR), including setting parameters and running plant simulations of existing or proposed new facilities, developing the basic process scheme, preparing red-lined mark-ups of PFDs, PIDs, C&Es, logic diagrams, datasheets, and other process deliverables for all plant modifications.
Provide process engineering support to in-house Basic and Detail Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning of plant modifications projects. Coordinate and interface with other disciplines.
Prepare and review Scope of Work (SOW) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) for Feasibility and Conceptual Studies, Basic Engineering (FEED), Detail Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, and Start-up through single source or coordinate and interface with Engineering Contractor(s). Ensure compliance with International Standards, Company Standards, and alignment with Company's QHSE and Corporate policies and strategies.
Review datasheets, material requisitions, equipment selection, and technical bids, and make recommendations for approval.
Participate in workshops on Design and PID reviews, PHA studies such as HIRA, WHAT-IF, HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments.
Review vendor(s)/subcontractor(s) process documentation to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
Prepare addendum to existing Operating Manual, Operating Procedures, and Start-up and Shutdown procedures as changes are implemented.
Provide process Engineering support during site execution, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of modifications.
Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR). Ensure process-related punch points are addressed and implemented. Update Process master documentation upon implementation of modifications.
Support operations in preparing for and during scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns of any part of Dolphin Energy's facilities onshore and offshore.
Provide technical inputs and support to Sr. Manager Process Engineering in making strategic decisions and planning activities.
Comply with Company's policies and procedures in all areas impacting the business, including HSE&S, operational, commercial, financial, administrative, and HR policies.
Demonstrate zero tolerance to divergence. Maintain the highest ethical standards in dealings with all personnel, including contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Conduct all work activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner at all times by not taking on any tasks perceived to be unsafe, and if in doubt, consult supervisor/manager before proceeding. Report any irregularities to supervisor/manager or a QHSE representative.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned by Sr. Manager Process Engineering.
