Senior Process Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• An expert in water and wastewater treatment field with experience of primary and storm treatment processes, activated sludge, biological filtration, settlement package systems, membrane systems, sludge thickening, dewatering and disposal, odour control and modelling, clean water treatment, and chemical dosing plants.
• Undertake process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Complete process engineering calculations and simulation.
• Design survey and assessments of existing process/equipment.
• Feasibility and Optioneering Studies.
• Hazard Identification Studies (e.g. HAZOP, FMEA, etc.).
• Communicate effectively with clients and key stakeholders.
• Ensure all technical documents and data are prepared and structured in accordance with relevant design standards and legislation.
• Ensure the design satisfies all operational and safety requirements.
• Check and verify engineering documents in line with the technical and quality plan.
• Providing documentation and drawing deliverables on time to meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis) techniques would be advantageous.
• Assisting with the checking and reviewing the work of peers and junior staff.
• Able to provide process commissioning support to site team.
• Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provides guidance to entry level engineers.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 10 years experience in design consultancy.

Qualifications:

Degree educated or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or similar.

Chartered Engineer or working towards a recognized industry qualification.
