Purpose of the role

The Senior Production Manager manages the production of high-level spend and strategic projects while facing clients directly supporting both strategy and satisfaction. The SPM will also be expected to mentor and upskill the Production Managers and, at times, manage the project traffic among other PMs.
- Manage POS projects/campaigns ensuring timely and high-standard completion.
- Collaborate closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver marketing materials on time and to specifications, adhering to SLAs and contractual agreements.
- Provide technical input and advice on print projects as needed.
- Take comprehensive briefs from clients and manage projects from inception to completion.
- Create detailed specifications for internal and external clients.
- Work as a team to meet contractual obligations, prepare presentations, and complete account administration and reporting.
- Collaborate with our suppliers to ensure the best service standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Support in operational information processes and reporting.
- Accountable for compliance.
- Negotiate costings and timescales for each job and select the most appropriate supplier.
Skills, knowledge, experience, and exposure
- The Senior Production Manager will likely have 3-5 years of print/POS production and general operational print experience.
- Relevant project management or supplier liaison and sourcing experience will also be considered positively.
- Experience in POS project management; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication, organisational, and technical skills in print processes.
- Previous experience working in print/print management/print buying/marketing print procurement is essential.
- High level of print, 2D, and 3D POS knowledge with a detailed understanding of different techniques.
- Experience in a client-facing role is essential with the ability to manage and communicate with key client stakeholders to successfully deliver and exceed their expectations.

Managing production projects and facing directly final clients requires a set of skills that will enable the Senior Production Manager to succeed. First and foremost, a clear and effective communication skill at all levels in the hierarchy is essential. This includes the ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, as well as actively listening to and addressing the needs of clients.
In addition to communication skills, the role demands a solution-oriented and resolutive mindset, where problems are seen as opportunities to find solutions. This mindset will help Production Managers navigate different types of challenges and new scenarios that arise while managing production projects.
A technology-oriented mindset is also crucial, as SPMs will have to use different technologies in their daily job. This includes not only familiarity with relevant software and platforms but also the ability to learn new technologies as they emerge.
Attention to detail is another key attribute for a successful SPM. The value added by Production Managers lies in their ability to manage transactional work daily and ensure that the details are attended to with precision and accuracy.
Finally, a natural mediation skill is highly desirable, as SPMs act as the link between Indicia Worldwide and the client. This requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to balance the needs of both parties to achieve successful project outcomes.
