Senior Precious Metals Trader

We have partnered with an international trading business, who are looking for a senior precious metals trader to join their team in Dubai. The role is critical to manage precious metal deals and driving growth within the division.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and grow the trading book by identifying new opportunities and optimizing current trading strategies.
2. Monitor market trends and price movements in precious metals to make informed trading decisions.
3. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to trading activities.
4. Build and maintain relationships with key market participants, including suppliers, customers, and financial institutions.
5. Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure smooth transaction flow and risk reporting.
6. Summarize each transaction and report a detailed P&L to risk and management.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 4-8 years physical trading experience in precious metals.
2. Experience in gold, silver and PGMs.
3. Experience in physical gold trading is required as well as management of spread and price risk.
4. Have a track record in managing and growing a trading book in precious metals.
5. Strong understanding of global precious metals markets, including pricing, hedging strategies, and risk management.
6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work in office 5 days a week.
