Senior Planning Engineer - Construction

Responsibilities

1. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
2. Attend weekly internal coordination meetings and prepare minutes of the meetings
3. Attend weekly progress meetings with the Consultants and also prepare and present the weekly progress status to them
4. Review daily site progress reports before the submission to the Consultant
5. Prepare draft delay or progress-related letters, which are to be sent to Subcontractors/Consultant
6. Develop a baseline program with resource loading
7. Work out recovery, mitigation, and other schedules
8. Monitor and track overall project progress and write up reports to monitor the same for improving the progress rate at sites
9. Monitor and track the progress of subcontractors/suppliers and review their progress reports and programs
10. Prepare EOT in case of any delay in the construction period
11. Review all the reports that the Planning Engineers prepare
12. Supervise, guide, and train the Planning Engineers who are assigned under the project

Experience:

• Minimum 9 years of experience as a Senior Planning Engineer in the construction industry within UAE
• Experience with project costing, contract administration, and construction claims is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and other project management tools
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Solid understanding of basic construction techniques and principles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
