Responsibilities:
Support the Project Manager in determining and developing the most suitable, economically viable construction and engineering methods for project(s) and responsible for the overall evaluation and control of the assigned project schedules and performs schedule development, maintenance and monitoring of the planning/scheduling activities with without any supervisory oversight.
To prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations as requested and checks and confirms that the correct scope of work is reflected on assigned schedules.
Review planning and scheduling of work to ensure that activities are effectively planned, resourced and completed.
Develops specific project codes of accounts and work breakdown structures, and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions for new work items assigned.
Check and review the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations prepared by the Planning Engineer for a particular project, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Establishes and implements methods for determining activity durations within assigned disciplines or specialties.
Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialties and identifies significant activities supporting inter-discipline requirements and identifies critical path for discipline or specialty work activities.
Reviews schedule data, identifies and acquires information needed to complete work logics to interface between assigned disciplines, specialties and/or projects.
Identifies, analyzes and monitors schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including contractor submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations.
Develops and writes the schedule commentary that appears in the monthly progress and similar reports. Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and prepares and presents the Critical Items Action Report.
Prepare and develop the master schedule for construction projects and the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for each project.
Perform critical path analysis and identify areas of concern.
Perform any other jobs as may be assigned by the superiors.
Experience in managing claims & dispute.
Preparing monthly progress reports in the format agreed & highlight problems, obstacles, shortages and suggest recommendations.
Arrange regular site meetings to monitor performance and progress.
Maintain project records in a classified and retrievable form covering the various aspects of work and construction contract.
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of experience with Bachelor's degrees in civil engineering or similar.
Relevant experience in project control/planning process, and contract administration obtained through wide exposure to major projects - Towers, high rise buildings, Residential and Multi-Storey Buildings.
