We are looking for a Senior Planner Pipeline for one of our clients with the following details:
Start: February 2025
Duration: 12 months, renewable
Work Status: Residential in UAE
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE with mission in IRAQ whenever required (Estimated days 60 per year, then potentially based in Iraq second year).
Qualifications And Experience Required:
- Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10 years on oil & gas construction projects.
- Experience in pipeline construction works is mandatory.
- Degree: Engineer or equivalent.
- Professional experience: 15 years minimum.
- Excellent knowledge in scheduling and progress control techniques and tools.
- Excellent knowledge of Primavera and MS Office tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of contract management.
- Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule).
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Language: English as mother tongue or fluent in English (speaking and writing); French and/or Arabic language is a plus.
Activities:
Among his/her activities, the job holder is required to:
- Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour regarding HSSE and implement HSSE rules and requirements within his area of responsibility.
- Liaise and coordinate with the Project Control team and specifically with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, complying with rules and requirements.
- Define (and update as necessary), in liaison with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, a suitable GMP Pipelines Work Breakdown Structure complying with GGIP and GMP needs in terms of progress control, cost control, and reporting for all phases of the Project.
- Define (and update as necessary), in liaison with the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, suitable GMP Weekly and Monthly Report structures complying with Project needs and develop and issue detailed and accurate GMP weekly and monthly reports (and any other report as requested).
- Develop, update, and revise the GMP overall Project Schedules as required by the GMP Planning & Reporting Lead, and provide analyses and simulations of new schedules as required.
- Coordinate activities for consistency.
- Control implementation of EPC Contractors' procedures and schedules, scheduling methodology, and monitor EPC contractors' execution schedule on-site, checking and approving EPC Contractors' progress measurement and progress reports.
- Timely report to the Pipelines Package Manager, GMP Planning and Reporting Lead, and Project Control Manager; highlighting progress and encountered areas of concern.
- Ensure and impose strict confidentiality for all scheduling and progress measurement-related documentation produced (whatever its support).
- Gather 'lessons learnt' regarding scheduling, progress control, and reporting matters and provide feedback to the project team.
- Prepare minutes of meetings and key messages regarding scheduling and progress for daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
- Prepare presentations on management request, coordinating inputs from the different PMT members.
- Actively participate in schedule risk analysis exercises.
- Be the focal point regarding Digital Twin on scheduling, progress control, and reporting matters.
