Job description

NES Fircroft are looking for a Senior Planner to join a major project supporting a major operator based in the UAE.

As Senior Planner you will be responsible for all the scheduling and progress measurement of Pipelines related activities for the project.

ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensuring the consolidation of site activities, planning and progress measurement; this includes scheduling and progress measurement activities performed by EPC Contractor(s) during the Execution phase up to the end of the contract.
  2. Coordinating all scheduling, planning, and progress reporting executed outside the fabrication and construction sites.
  3. In close relation with Planning & Reporting Lead, developing and maintaining schedules, analysing critical paths and potential clashes, proposing remedial actions/solutions, and monitoring interfaces.
  4. Ensuring availability at all times of updated and accurate scheduling and progress measurement documentation available to the PMT.
  5. Ensuring reporting at Package level (issue of Weekly reports, Monthly Status Reports...) consolidating all Pipelines activities.
  6. Ensuring production of presentations on Management’s request (such as for Monthly meetings, Partners meetings, and the like).
  7. Act as the Project Control Lead for the Pipelines package and coordinate all related Project Control and Risks activities (Cost, Scheduling, Manpower, Reporting, Risks, etc.) in close liaison with the Planning & Reporting Lead and Pipelines dedicated Project Control resources (Cost Engineer, Contract Engineer, DCC, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  1. Mandatory experience in a similar position: 10 Years on Oil & Gas Construction project.
  2. Experience in pipeline construction works is mandatory.
  3. Degree: Engineer or equivalent.
  4. Professional experience: 15 years minimum.
  5. Excellent knowledge in Scheduling and progress control techniques and tools.
  6. Excellent knowledge of Primavera, MS Office tools.
  7. Knowledge and understanding of contract management.
  8. Project management skills (Budget/Cost/Schedule).
  9. Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment.
  10. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  11. Language: English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing), French and/or Arabic language is a plus.
