Overview of Position:
This role has the primary responsibility for revenue generation by creating sales opportunities, developing partnership proposals and supporting the broader team in achieving successful commercial sales objectives across Sportfive’s portfolio of assets.
Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
- Significantly increase long-term commercial sponsorship revenues by selling existing inventory and assets to brands. Contribute to Sportive’s overall sponsorship sales activities across the region.
- Use market intelligence to identify and seek out potential new sponsors, building strong relationships and responding to client-driven requirements to acquire new rights or properties that align with their objectives.
- Stay at the forefront of sports sponsorship trends, with strong knowledge of micro and macro industry trends, and use this insight to develop and implement sales strategies aligned with Sportive’s objectives.
- Develop a client relationship management program to enhance sponsor experiences, increase engagement, and drive additional sales within existing partners. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, sponsors, and partners across various industries.
- Lead sales efforts for all Sportive assets in the Middle East region, including sponsorships and other commercial opportunities. Oversee and manage the sales team, providing guidance, motivation, and support to achieve sales targets. Track and monitor performance, offering coaching and best practices to optimize results.
- Develop tailored and compelling pitch kits that highlight the value proposition of Sportive’s assets, ensuring alignment with the business needs of clients.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, marketing, legal, media rights) to ensure seamless execution of sponsorship deals and commercial agreements.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance, market opportunities, and forecasts to ensure alignment with Sportive’s revenue targets and business objectives.
- Establish and manage an account management function that provides full-service support to key client accounts, including liaising with event broadcast services and production teams if needed.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the Middle East and MENA regions to inform sales strategies.
