Job purpose
The Senior Operations and IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their prime brokerage business, including operations, risk management, product development, and strategic initiatives involving IT development and connectivity. This role requires a seasoned leader with experience in prime brokerage operations, exceptional communication skills, and a proven history of driving business growth and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prime Brokerage Operations

1. Have a deep-rooted knowledge of prime brokerage operations and the processes required to ensure stable and robust operations.
2. Managing the day-to-day operations of the prime brokerage team, including trade execution, settlements, custody, financing, and risk management. This responsibility also involves optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
3. Ensuring that all operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies. This includes monitoring and mitigating operational risks, conducting regular audits, and implementing necessary controls to safeguard the firm's assets and client interests.

1. Implement robust risk management policies and procedures to safeguard the firm's assets and mitigate counterparty risk.
2. Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments, and client activity to assess potential risks and opportunities.
3. Work closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

1. Build and lead a high-performing team of prime brokerage professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
2. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members to support their growth and success.
3. Promote a positive work environment that values diversity, inclusion, and integrity.

1. 10+ years of experience in prime brokerage or related areas within the financial services industry, with a proven history of success in leadership roles.
2. Deep understanding of prime brokerage operations, including financing, margin, securities lending, and execution services.
3. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data and market information.
4. Excellent people skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry stakeholders.
5. Analytical thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans to achieve organizational objectives.
6. Demonstrated leadership ability with a focus on team development, collaboration, and driving results.

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
